This chapter is a continuation of the last one. They had decided that Since Saul did not exercise his rights, he did not have any.
He deserved to be compensated. The others took their wives with them. Some were saying that Paul had an occupation and did not deserve to be support of him and Barnabus.
Verse 14 There is no statement by Yeshua about support of those who preach the gospel. Paul made that transition from the sacrificial system to the messianic system.
