HOW TO DO THE SIDE CHOP

The side chop is a complex and functional exercise that works every muscle in the body. The wood chop is defined as a core exercise, and because it is done on the cable machine it is also a free weight.
To the do the side chop
1) Grab the handle with your outside hand, then the other hand on top
2)Assume a wide stance with a 30:70 weight difference on each leg
3)Shift the weight, and then rotate the torso
4)Allow the arms to express the movement like a the tail of a whip
