Barebones Gospel

A lot of Christians do not know what the gospel actually is. What did Jesus preach? What did the 12 disciples preach? What was the common thread of the message of the book of Acts? It says that God commands all men everywhere to repent. It does not say that God commands all men everywhere to believe the modern-day corrupt Christian gospel.
