6 Granny Smith Apples (or mixed varieties)
2 1/2 cups A.P. Flour
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon Sugar
1 Tsp. Salt
3 tbsp. Vegetable oil
1 cup Unsalted butter
2 tsp. Lemon Juice (or white vinegar)
1/4 cup cool Water
1/3 cup Brown sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Allspice
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
2 tbsp. Rolled oats
1 egg
