Barber chair..... I messed up, Bad! #chainsawfails

Prime example of what can happen when in-correct methods are used whilst hand Felling Ash. The result can potentially be fatal, fortunately no one was hurt on this occasion.

The cause for the chair was due to a combination of factors, being too slow on the back cut and too much force being applied on the Felling wedge. Combined, this resulted in a quite spectacular barber chair!

A barber chair is when a tree that is being felled simply splits and leaves the rest of the holding wood attached to the stump

This video is simply for educational purposes and demonstrates what can and will happen when the wrong techniques and experience are used.
A lott can be learned from this video, especially for myself!!

Ash can be an extremely hazardous timber to hand fell and should always be handled with respect!
