How to fell a tree - Forward lean #forestry

This video is a quick demonstration of a technique I know and use for Felling forward-leaning tree's

Leaning tree's need to be felled differently from upright trees due to the increased pressure on the wood fibre and grain, certain species of trees are a lot more prone to splitting such as Ash and Aspen due to the long grain structure so a greater deal of caution needs to be taken when working with them.

This technique demonstrates a tried and tested method to fell forward-leaning tree whilst maintaining control and minimising the risk.
