The Transforming Power of the Gospel--2 Peter 2:1-10 "Who Will Deliver Us from False Teachers?"

his week we are getting back into our study through 2 Peter. Peter is going to spend the entirety of Chapter Two warning Christians about the false teachers—those who pervert the Word. It’s important that we understand what false teachers. They are not openly hostile atheists or adherents of different religions. Those people do have false teachings, but what Peter is talking about are professing Christians, even professing church leaders, who are twisting the message of the Bible. A little tweak here, a little twist there, and eventually you have an entire body that has been lead astray.
As we begin this chapter, we will examine the reality, work, and fate of false teachers.
