Jazz's mom takes a spin in the surgical suite

"I am Jazz" chronicles the ongoing tragedy of the fall of ancient Rome as personified in the physical body of a modern American child that has been put on stage for a decadent audience that includes both of us, now, dear reader, to consume for entertainment over a period of years.

Meanwhile Jazz is experimented on mercilessly for the sin of being a gender nonconforming child (now turned willing adult collaborator) in a world where legos are in one aisle and make-up is in the other. This involved multiple unnecessary surgeries, including procedures which sterilized him for life and left him intimately scarred, despite the fact that he was perfectly healthy at baseline.
