Spot on Wednesday 11-17-21

Just after I started my new job in January of 2020 my first payday was spent on buying a new computer package from best buy.

I didn't care about rent, food or any other basic human comfort except for wanting to be connected to those who were distant from me.

After shutting down the store for the day I would sit in my office and surf the internet attempting to be connected and informed.

This would go on into the wee hours of the morning and I still needed to walk 3 mi to my apartment.

I learned so much that first year of being all alone in the world, on my own, for my own.

You know we are really never alone unless we distance ourselves from others.

Hermits close the door and and stare at the computer screen.

We are all so much better than that and a single act of kindness is what the world needs more of.

That was 21 years ago and we are no closer today to humanity, digitally, except for closer to the grave.
