Dr. Timothy Perenich : ITS NOT THE MARK OF THE BEAST - Part 1

Is Inspiration's health counsel really the best advice? Doesn't modern medicine offer better solutions to disease?

As we seek for eternal salvation the health message is essential, not optional. Indeed it is integral and indispensable to the Gospel which encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual regeneration and re-creation into our Maker’s image.
“True sanctification… requires that our habits of eating, drinking, and dressing be such as to secure the preservation of physical, mental, and moral health, that we may present to the Lord our bodies, not an offering corrupted… but a “living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God” (Review & Herald, 1881, No.4).

“The transgression of physical law is transgression of God's law. Our Creator is Jesus Christ… He is the author of the physical law as he is the author of the moral law. And the human being who is careless and reckless of the habits and practices that concern his physical life and health, sins against God” (Unpublished Testimonies, May 19, 1897).

The popularized distinction between “prevention” and “cure” is really an artificial construct. The physiological processes of prevention and healing are continually occurring and are really inseparable processes.

“The things of nature are God's blessings, provided to give health to body, mind and soul. They are given to the well to keep them well [notice it is not vaccines] and to the sick to make them well… they are more effective in restoring health than all the drug medication in the world” (7T 76, 1902).

God’s messenger intimates that not only the Decalogue, but the natural laws of Creation are reflective of God’s holy character.

“He who hungers and thirsts after God will seek for an understanding of the laws which the God of wisdom has impressed upon creation. These laws are a transcript of his character. They must control all who enter the heavenly and better country” (UT, August 30, 1896).

“In order to live a perfect life, we must live in harmony with those natural laws which govern our being” (3T, 163).
“Without holiness no man shall see God” (Hebrews 12:14 ).
To make plain natural law, and urge the obedience of it, is the work that accompanies the third angel's message to prepare a people for the coming of the Lord" (3T, 161).

The following counsel intimates that a failure to understand and practice the lesser test of the true health message will mean failure and eternal loss when we meet the more severe final test of the Mark of the Beast.

“The truth for this time… is to be proclaimed with a loud voice, meaning with increasing power, as we approach the great final test. This test must come to the churches in connection with the true medical missionary work, a work that has the Great Physician to dictate and preside in all it comprehends” (Manuscript Releases volume 10, 314).

“The Great Healer…Christ made use of the simple agencies of nature. While He did not give countenance to drug medication, He sanctioned the use of simple and natural remedies…He taught that disease is the result of violating God's laws, both natural and spiritual" (Desire of Ages, 824).

Simply stated, vaccines are drug or pharmaceutical products with a well documented track record for causing a wide range of autoimmune diseases and neurodegenerative breakdown of the divinely designed mind-body complex.
Since in Revelation Babylon represents the confused “mother” and “daughter” fallen churches, they along with all the world (a large part of which worships in them) are duped by a system that promises health, but predominantly delivers disease and death.
The idea that virtually all of the significant historical health outcome improvements attained in the Western World are attributable to the brilliant and heroic strides of conventional medicine is unfounded. The facts do not bear this out.
