Boho Vanity Makeover

Here is a good-sized vanity that I got on Facebook Marketplace. It was in great condition so I cleaned it with White Lightening by Dixie Belle and scuff sanded it. I did not use a paint primer because although the wood was stained dark originally, after sanding it appears the wood is most likely poplar. I didn't note any knots in it.

I used Dixie Belle, Mud Paint and Retique It chalk paints to get this blended finish. The pink color is a mix of several paints including the Retique It.

It is very unique, with champagne gold stripes (Rustoleum metallic paint) on one drawer and the feet; dark wax and gold gilding on the hardware.

I also added a dragonfly transfer by Redesign with Prima as part of the custom order. There are stencil designs on the wood drawer sides. A stencil of the elephant symbol 'Ganesh' is found when you open the striped drawer.
