Jesus calls out the fakes and frauds in His letter to the Church of Smyrna in Revelation chapter 2. There are both fake Jews and fake Christians. In this case the Lord Jesus calls their religious gatherings Satanic. That's why Jesus calls them a Synagogue of Satan. They were promoting the annihilation of the Christians and the destruction of people's lives and livelihood.
