A cacophonous symphony of fake news

Credit Instagram's @drunk.nancys.tavern with this amazing trove of American news anchors all saying the exact same thing... like they were paid to read the same paragraph by a third-party actor who prefers to remain in the shadows. This ham-fisted intervention reeks of government involvement, but powerful independent actors with plenty of money to burn (read: oligarchs) cannot be excluded from our candidate list. The particular language is curious because of at least two choices of phrasing (eg conjunctions) which jar the ears of people finely attuned to American speech patterns. Maybe it was this signal which caused our researcher to look closely at the matter. Or maybe our researcher is a disaffected insider who seeks to warn others that all is not well with the mainstream media landscape.

Regardless of that speculative angle, some may say that it is a pity the integrity of the TV news industry has now been destroyed once and for all. I'm not so sure that it isn't a godsend. What think you, internet friends?
