Mongolian Students Protest against Cancellation of Mongolian Language 內蒙古學生抗議取消蒙古語教學

On August 30, a group of #Mongolian students protesting against the Chinese Communist Party's cancellation of the teaching of the Mongolian language.
The Education Department of the #CCP in Inner Mongolia has issued a request that, beginning with the new school term on 1 September, ethnic schools throughout the region will adopt the so-called bilingual education model and, starting with the first grade of elementary school and the first grade of junior high school, use Chinese instead of Mongolian as the language of instruction. This prompted protests from ethnic Mongols.
8月30日，內蒙古某學校的學生在學校門口集會，抗議中共在內蒙古取消蒙語教學，強推漢語教學。
據報導，中共內蒙古教育廳發文要求，從9月1日新學期開始，全區民族學校將採用所謂雙語教育模式，從小學一年級和初中一年級開始，所用《語文》教材放棄蒙古族語，改用漢語。這引起蒙古族人的抗議。
