Hebrews 3:1-11 "Jesus compared to Moses"

In Hebrews 2 we see the humility of Jesus to accomplish the redemptive plan of salvation. But in Numbers 12:3 we learn that Moses was the most humble person on the face of the earth. So how do they compare and more importantly, what is the author of Hebrews reason for this comparison?
