VAV Control System overview and basic operation

The VAV control system is the last component in most HVAC systems that controls the space temperature of a zone. The VAV is usually controlled by a VMA controller or other type of DDC control as part of the building automation system.

The VAV will control the amount of supply air into a space as well as reheating the air if necessary for temperature control.
