Rock shuffle drum groove

Rock shuffle groove gives a nice swing feel that you can apply to your favorite songs. If you listen back to American popular music from the early days of Rock and Roll the back beat almost always had a swing or shuffle feel to them. During the 1980's things began to change on the popular music scene everything became more electronic with a straight beat or feel that was played on machines by producers.
Later on Hip hop gave us the Dilla feel,, from J.Dilla back in the 90's. Dilla incorporated a triplet feeling in his style of hip hop that has a lilt or swing feel played more on the bottom of the drum set using the bass drum. Some of my favorite classic rock songs use a kicking rock shuffle, I miss that style.
