Christmas will always be blue if the baby Jesus is not the crucified Jesus for you. You can try in vain to make Christmas joyful. Even the “joy” of the best food, the most outrageous gifts, good times with family and friends, or even the perfect eggnog will fade after days or hours. The only joy that lasts is the joy received in the Gospel, the glad tidings of great joy!
