The case is bogus. Rittenhouse has not documented a slander claim against The View has Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.

The beginnings of the bogus case come from PotatriotsUnite.com, an ironical site, self depicted as "an auxiliary of the 'America's Last Line of Defense' organization of farce, parody, and silliness." Another generally shared Facebook post is joined by a screen capture of the article from PotatriotsUnite.com.
The humorous article guarantees that: "Kyle and his mother have pulled the trigger on a claim against The View's Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg. As indicated by the family's representative, Joe Barron, the Rittenhouses anticipate a speedy and enormous settlement."

It's actually quite important too that another piece of information that the article is parody is that it mistakenly makes reference to that the Rittenhouse family's representative is Joe Barron. The Rittenhouse family representative is really David Hancock, who let the Associated Press know that: "The Rittenhouse group, Kyle and the remainder of his legal counselors, have not documented any legitimate activities against any associations or any individual specifically."
