The Awakened | Stop the Mandate Protest in Dover, OH | December 3, 2021

The second Stop the Mandate protest was held today outside our local Cleveland Clinic hospital. Community members braced the cold December air to stand up for the Rights of workers in our community.

While the CMS mandate was paused in court earlier in the week, CCF did not announce their decision to pause the mandate until late on Thursday, after many employees had already been notified of their placement on unpaid leave.

The "pause" indicates the mandate could very well be reenacted in the future, so protesters came out to demand a final "end" to the mandates. Also, a new mandate has been implemented for testing of unvaccinated caregivers. We find this new mandate inconsistent considering that both unvaccinated and vaccinated people can catch, carry, and spread the virus.

Continue to stand strong and stand together. The battle against these mandates is far from over.
