Champion 3400-Watt Dual Fuel Generator - Installing an Hour Meter

This video shows how to install an hour meter to keep track of how many hours your generator has run.
This is helpful for knowing when to change the oil which is supposed to be done after every 100 hours.
We're only using our generator for emergencies, so our plan is to just run it for 20 minutes once/month and change the oil once a year.
Like any motor you need to run it at least once a month to keep it lubricated and to recharge the battery.

Of course if there's an emergency, then we may get up to 100 hours faster!
