Take Three, Action!

No different than the change in seasons, sometimes there is a delay in typical weather for the time of year.

Typical year. Almost Fifty on Friday and in the Teens today.

My dad had just bought a new family car. I remember kicking the tires at the dealership, then we all loaded up and drove it home.

It wasn't long after we were attempting to get to Appleton in a blizzard.

Followed a grader the better part of the drive while mom prayed harder everytime it felt like we're going to slip off the road.

Being on the east side of Lake Winnebago it was common for the drifting to reach the height of the power lines.

Even once we had moved from Calumet County the snow continued to pile up in the Fox Valley until the early 70's.

It was true we walked to school in a blizzard, up hill, both ways all winter long.
