Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin have spoken amid reports Russia may be preparing to invade Ukraine.

The US and Russian presidents spoke by video link where Mr Biden voiced “deep concerns” about a build-up of Russian troops on the country's border with eastern Ukraine.

He said there would be "strong economic and other measures” if Russia crossed the border.
