Desert SW Trip - Day 3, Part 1 - Las Vegas to Death Valley

A beautiful fall morning in Las Vegas! We leave early so that we maximize our day in the sunshine. It gets dark at 4:30pm in Death Valley in late November.

We travel 2 hrs westward, through the mountains west of Las Vegas, then cross the Mohave, through Pahrump, across the California line, and into Death Valley NP. Our first sight to see is Dante's View, a MUST see in the national park because the view is spectacular and it gives you an overview, literally, of the whole park.
