It was a cold… and I mean a bitterly cold night in October in Laramie Wyoming in 1998. I was living in Torrington at the time, about 90 minutes outside Laramie and I remember the time clearly in my head. Laramie was windy, cold, and when I say cold, it went right to the bone.

My memories of Wyoming are not the best in my life, a lot of bad things came up during this time period. But as I reflect on that October evening, I realize now that it would change my opinion on the LGBTQ community forever.
