The Biosphere is a spherical building that was built for the 1967 World Exhibition. It is now considered one of the most important structures of the 20th century.

This science-focused landmark was designed by an international design firm called Buckminster Fuller et Associes under the directorship of once-architect turned physicist R. Buckminster Fuller.
