What we often fail to recognize is that each and every one of us has a shadow, a dark side and that none of us will be able to remove evil completely since this action would mean to remove ourselves from the world.

As harsh as this statement sounds, have the courage to accept that the line that separates good and evil cuts deeply through your heart, as well as the heart of every human being. If your goal is to see as much good and harmony around you as possible, remember that only the man that knows his own capacity for greed, rage, gluttony, and other excessive actions – who has understood and accepted his own potential for improper excess – can choose to balance and refine himself so that eventually this objective might become a possibility.

Have the guts to take the first step into the darkness of your being and tame your monsters so that the evils inside you serve you and your purpose and not the other way around.
