Stingrays flap their fins to find food buried in the sand
3 years ago
1.75K
Stingrays feed on bivalves, worms, small fish, and crustaceans. Since their prey is in the sand, they release it by forcing streams of water out of their mouths or flapping their fins in the sand. They find their prey using electro-reception and excellent senses of smell and touch.
