20211214 Government and Marriage - The Daily Summation

Why does ANYBODY (and most particularly any Christian) believe ANY PART OF their faith ought to be "managed or overseen by" the government?

To be sure, that includes tax exempt status (that in my mind, takes the voice of Christians and churches), and licensing of churches or congregations.

Perhaps more than both of these though, why should we seek government sanction where marriage is concerned?
