Currency collapse, people hungry for bread

Following the collapse of the Turkish lira, the price of a loaf of bread in Turkey rose from 1.5 Liras to 3.5 Liras.

The long queue you see in the attached video, despite the wintry weather, is to a store where subsidized bread is sold, funded by the Istanbul municipality at a price of 1.25 Liras per loaf of bread.
This queue saves those standing at 2.25 Liras which is about $ 0.15
