Filipino Scout 1911a1 Modernization PT 1

This video is an introduction to my first multi-part series on Rumble. I am upgrading a Rock Island Armory G.I. Spec 1911a1 replica. It duplicates what American and Filipino troops fought with during World War Two. This project is intended to illustrate how it is possible to take a stock base pistol and upgrade it to be easier to use. Modern high visibility sights, a flared wider magazine well, and a checkered front strap and mainspring housing. As well as a spring steel extractor and polish the feed ramp. I will not change the traditional spur hammer or traditional tang safety to a beavertail. I will give a detailed reason in a future video including footage of an issue I discovered during our Okeefenokee Baptism where mud packed into the beavertail tang safety stopped the hammer from fully recessing, locking the slide.
