FIREWORK ORDINANCE, CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC MEETING, AUGUST 2015.

There was a long debate about firework ordinance. Councilwoman Tristan was pushing for $2,000 penalty, the state approved maximum, for possession. Councilwoman Krenek was opposing saying people cannot be criminalized unless they fired the firework. This ordinance will have to go back to The City Attorney for reworking again.

Actually this was not first time I heard during last 3 meetings I attended that some ordinance proposals were against the law, in one case even against our Constitution.
