Does It Matter That Rivian Fell Short? RIVN Stock Analysis

Upstart electric vehicle (EV) maker Rivian Automotive (RIVN) is encountering some speed bumps after the company's blockbuster IPO in November generated a windfall for the company and its investors. In the wake of last night's Q3 earnings results -- RIVN's first earnings report as a public company -- shares are in reverse today and are now trading more than 40% below the stock's post-IPO highs. For the most part, RIVN's current top-and bottom-line performance is irrelevant since it is still in the early stages of production.
