The grander the expectation the farther one falls into the abyss.

We set ourselves up for these failures time and time again and never quite define it as insanity.

Although that's what it is, beyond that it's the unique expectation that something greater will happen when the odds of it happening are one in a million that it will.

The perseverance of humanity has endured a magnitude of letdown.

Yet somehow we continue to survive.

Don't fall for the shortcuts for they only lead to more disappointment.
