Likely the first New Testament letter written, James addressed the early persecuted and dispersed church. The early church was made of Jewish Christians. These Christians recognize Jesus as the prophesied Messiah and placed their faith in Him. The early church counted the cost of following Jesus, which for many, cost them a lot- family, friends, livelihood, and more. What can we learn from the early church?
