We met at Boggabilla.
I asked her to tell me a bit about herself 👇

“Yaama - Hello in Gomeroi language.
Eva Cubby
I am a Gomeroi woman descending from the Gamilaroi nation.
Originally from Toomelah a community in far mid north west NSW.  
Located on the NSW/QLD Border

I currently reside in Coffs Harbour where I have been living for the last seven years.
For the past five years I have been employed at Galambila (Aboriginal Health Service) AHS where I have dedicated myself in my work role. My passion is working within community and empowering my people to become pro active with their health and well-being, advocacy and support for vulnerable children, women and families that require intensive ongoing support.
As of the 20/10/2021 I was advised that I am unable to attend my workplace to undertake my role due to standing in my power and not complying with the so called Government Mandates.”
