It is the same mechanism for racism, homophobia, and other social problematic thinking. People get scared and they look at the people that are not like them. This is the problem with labeling people who have a healthy dose of skepticism. Labels just continue to divide and marginalize people. No one called people who didn't get their yearly flu shot anti-vaxxers.
