NYC POV: Protester Explains Why He Has Decided to Lose His Job Instead of Being Vaccinated

On December 27, 2021, a New York City mandate requiring in-person employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine went into effect. Details at:

This protester talked to us on the same date outside a Brooklyn Burger King about why he doesn't want to take a COVID-19 vaccine and explained that he is being fired from his job as a hotel fire safety director for refusing to take the vaccine.

The protester was part of a group that marched from City Hall in Manhattan to the Brooklyn Borough Hall to protest New York City vaccine mandates. Some of the protesters then continued on to the nearby Burger King, entered, and asked to be served without presenting proof of vaccination, in violation of a New York City mandate requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination for indoor dining. Five of the protesters were arrested.
