With the disastrous launch of Battlefield 2042 many fans are wondering what this might mean for the franchise in 2022 and beyond. Instead of writing a love letter to the fans devs pulled many foundational mechanics and uniquely Battlefield features from the gain to keep up with the "hero" shooters out there like CoD and Apex, but was this a good move?
