CHINA #2: Hong Kong's Elite has 'Conspired' with China to Erode Freedoms

Hong-Kong’s freedoms, including the ability for the public to hold its government to account, “have evaporated in astonishingly rapid time,” according to the Australian’s Rowan Callick.

In 2020, China imposed the draconian National Security Law on Hong Kong, which devastated the country’s civil and political rights.

Mr Callick told Sky News host Chris Smith the political elite in Hong Kong have “conspired” to erode their country’s freedoms.
