Why Are So Many Medical Institutions Using The Caduceus?

The Caduceus is the symbol carried by Hermes Trismegistus when he's Called Away from his space. So why is the Pharmaseudical obsessed with using it to make as much money (build as much CURRENCY) as they possibly can?
