JOY. Usually not the word that people associate with Christianity, the Church, or even Jesus. People view Christians as those hold staunchly to rules for themselves and try to enforce them on others in order to maintain a good standing before God. Rigid legalism has never been a life-giving aspect of faith-based living. Perhaps there's more to a life of faith with God. Perhaps there is JOY in following this Jesus and centuries of rule-based Christianity have sucked the life right out of what Jesus intended for His people. What does JESUS and JOY have in common? What does JOY look like in the life of someone who earnestly and honestly desires to live a deeply spiritual life?
