Deadly Shadows

We live in the modern world. We have televisions, cellphones, computers, cars, and every high-tech convenience undreamed not long ago. Yet, as we have made these fantastic advances over the many decades, many of us have also become increasingly disconnected from nature.

And, because of all this technological progress, we sometimes seem to forget that we are part of that natural world, with our bodies requiring the right environment and ingredients to function correctly.

Without these essential elements, we may seem to function properly from day to day, but we are not, in reality, healthy. Over time we adapt to this decreased state of well-being, which can ultimately result in compromised health and more serious and deadly conditions.

One of those critical elements that our bodies need is vitamin D which is, in fact, a hormone.
