I'm going to offer an explanation that is different than you may have heard before and I asked you to give this prayerful and thoughtful consideration. The Bible teaches that the horn power of Daniel 8 is Lucifer, the devil, the Antichrist that will come out of the spirit realm; he will be given a physical body and will rule over the world during the Great Tribulation. Listen carefully! The horn power is the devil who will come up out of the abyss and take a physical body which everyone will be able to see. And he will rule over the world during the Great Tribulation as the lamb-like beast. Lucifer will appear literally masquerading as God.

Christians believe that Antiochus Epiphanes fills the specifications of the horn power because he comes out of one of these four horns. Seleucus is one of the horns, and Antiochus is a descendant of Seleucus. Antiochus is basically a bandit, but he gained notoriety by desecrating the temple in Jerusalem in 168 BC. He’s known as the one who offered a pig on the altar, which desecrated the temple. My point is, this is how most Christians interpret the horn power of Daniel 8. Millions of people believe this is the right answer to who the horn power of Daniel 8 is.
