REALITY SLAPS PORTLAND IN THE FACE FOLLOWING A MASSIVE MINIMUM WAGE HIKE

Minimum wage is yet another cancerous socialist policy that externally perverts the free market negotiation between potential employee and potential employer. Socialism inevitably causes more harm in contradiction to what it sets out to do because it must assume that human beings are inherently evil in order to justify its utility. For example; minimum wage is necessary because without it employers will pay wages below the value of labor provided by their employees. This is not only an unfounded assumption, it is a very bleak outlook on the realities of the human condition. For giggles, let’s say that this is true and people are inherently bad, in that case the “Free Market” strategy would be best, as no matter the character flaw or intention, one still needs to produce and provide value to prosper - generally speaking. Socialism, by contrast, does not require value to be sustained. For this reason alone it incentivizes greed on a much larger scale than you will ever find in free market capitalism and it incentivizes low productivity and meritocracy goes out the window. In spite of the adverse historical impact of socialism people are still advocating for it believing themselves to be righteous. I suppose ignorance truly is bliss. The truth is, even though we humans are infected with the seed of evil, we are inherently good. I ask that you watch a group of young children play together. You will not find malice. You will not find racism. You will not find discrimination. Children, as they grow up, are taught to nurture their seed of evil or cultivate their seed of good based on reinforced values provided in home first and then in their communities. Socialism is ‘miracle grow’ for the seeds of evil and should be abandoned to the halls of history and never allowed to see the light of day ever again.
