Prof. Harvey Risch: Censorship is a tool of the defenseless, of those who have no arguments to make
Segment taken from recent interview between dr. Craig Wax and prof. Harvey Risch.
TRANSCRIPT
There has been major suppression of information. They call people who discuss the objective information as best we can― That's called disinformation by people who can't justify their own positions, their own messaging.
One should think about this: if you're in a debate between two parties and each one has arguments and they debate back and forth. I say, 'My reasons are this study, this study, this study', the other person says, 'No, it's that study, that study, that study'. You can go and you can look at the studies and you can evaluate the evidence and draw a conclusion.
But if I say, 'I have this study, this study, this study'. The other person says, 'I'm not letting you speak, I'm canceling your Twitter account'. What they're saying is, 'I don't have any studies to debate what you're saying, so because of that, I'm shutting off your ability to speak in the first place'.
Censorship is a tool of the defenseless, of the people who have no science, no arguments to make. So when you see censorship, what you are seeing is propaganda. That's the last stage of propaganda. The first stage of propaganda is sending out messages that are untrue but plausible and massive messaging in the public domain.
But the second [stage] is censorship, smearing. Saying that so-and-so is a fringe scientist. Not attacking what they said, but attacking the person (ad hominem attack). Those are all propaganda techniques. When you see all this in the media, then you know that that person has no rebuttal to the arguments being made by the person who's claiming to make scientific arguments.
The only way that we will ever get out to this damage to medicine and science, is for people to go to the literatures and read the studies for themselves. Read every study you can find and make up your own mind. You don't have to believe me. I've said a lot of stuff here. I've quoted lots of studies in my writings I've quoted lots of stuff. I always quote the original studies. You don't have to believe me. Don't believe me. Go and read those studies, draw the conclusions.
