The rock python, or Piton das Pedras, which is one of the largest snakes in the world, often leaves the depths of the forests where it lives and follows the current of a river to its mouth. And not good. During the day, it hides in the harbors or their surroundings. At night it goes out to look for food. It feeds mainly on rodents and birds, but they are also capable of swallowing a small antelope or a small pig. The prey is crushed and swallowed whole, and digestion takes several days.
