NIH Fallout: Fauci's Top Doctor Opposed to COVID Vaccine Mandates:
Dr. Matthew Memoli bioethicist and director of the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Memoli states that he is willing to risk his medical license to state the truth.
Memoli, who has been at NIH for 16 years, emailed Dr. Anthony Fauci at the end of July and told him, “I think the way we are using the vaccines is wrong,” before calling mandated vaccinations “extraordinarily problematic.”
While Dr. Memoli thinks the elderly and morbidly obese should be encouraged to receive Covid vaccinations, he told the WSJ, “blanket vaccination of people at low risk of severe illness could hamper the development of more-robust immunity gained across a population from infection.”
Dr. Memoli is unvaccinated, but the doctor explained, “I do vaccine trials. I, in fact, help create vaccines. Part of my career is to share my expert opinions, right or wrong.…I mean, if they all end up saying I’m wrong, that’s fine. I want to have the discussion.”
