We need to crash, burn and then hit bottom about our goodness. We bring nothing. God loves us.

Salvation is first realizing that we bring nothing to the table. It's a process that brings us to a place where we are empty and now allowing God's love through Christ to bring us our salvation. We bring our pride to the table and we want to help God. God just wants to show us His love and has "no strings" attached salvation. Chist died for our sins, and we only need to trust in fact to be and stay saved.
