CARLENE IS IN WAITANGI - WILL THE PM & GG BE THERE TOO?

There is talk that the ceremony going to take place in Waitangi today includes the 3 fiscal envelopes.

In this traditional proceeding, three envelopes get passed between the corporate government and three waka - the Ratana Church, the Kingitanga and Waitangi.

The PM & the Governor General are usually at the center of these proceedings.

Is this what all the fuss is about up there today?

Since Waitangi celebrations are apparently now back on following an "unprecedented" earlier cancellation in December, are they bringing formalities forward, to have February 6, 2022 simply as window dressing?
